Christian Books that Matter...

Book Reviews

The main aim of this website is to provide quality Christian Book Reviews of excellent, and true books. We will only review those books that we believe are trustworthy, and therefore you won't find a negative review on BookDisciple! Take some time to read our reviews, but be sure to go on and read the books themselves. Who knows... God might just get your life more in-line with his purposes if you read one of these books.

An update...

I am no longer adding content here. Instead of reviewing books, I am hard at work on my own web-based writing project.

I have developed a keen interest in contemplative spirituality, solitude and silence, and the effect these have on your walk with God. It is all written in the context of Christian spirituality.

I also deliver regular musings on awakening, presence, consciousness and awareness via the FindingSilence.com Blog.

My work at FindingSilence.com will help you attain a state of lasting peace and joy. Through teaching contemplative spirituality, it will help you discover God inside you as your true identity.

Do you want to raise a spiritual champion? Honestly, what Jesus-following parent doesn’t? That is what Revolutionary Parenting is all about. Raising kids with a life-impacting faith. The groundbreaking research (that you have become so accustomed to) conducted by George Barna and the Barna Group shows you what really works.

So, what is a spiritual champion? The definition given in Revolutionary Parenting states that a spiritual champion is “An irrepressible follower of Jesus Christ who accepts the Bible as truth, lives by its principles, and seeks ways to impact the world and continually deepen his or her relationship with God.”

Wow! That must be the best summary of what I would like to see in my kids one day...

George Barna does not spare you the gory detail. He dives right in with some really unsettling facts about today’s 8 to 12 year olds. Hair-raising stuff. And if that’s what’s going on with them, I don’t want to know what the moral condition of today’s college students are...
