Christian Books for Men


Why do we need a page on Christian books for men? Well, why is it that men are so different? I am not sure, but I do know that we are different. We were here first, so maybe we’re normal and the ladies are different…

Then again, only a man will think in such a way!

In this section of BookDisciple.com, I (being a man) celebrate the way men are, and function. The books here were written specifically with men in mind. With their problems in mind… With the challenges they face in mind…

I know the struggles and challenges men face only too well. I often wonder why I had to “get lost” at a certain time of my life. And why did I have to lose the way so badly?

Maybe I am kidding myself, but it could be that God allowed me to go through certain struggles with sin in order to give my witness some weight later on in my ministry. Like now.

Maybe He wanted me to struggle through these things, and fight hard for victory, so that now I am able to help other male disciples, facing similar problems, to get through it.

For me, freedom is important! If I am going to be a good husband, a good father, and above all a good disciple or follower of Jesus, I need to have freedom from sin.

I truly believe (and the Bible confirms) that we were not saved to carry on being the constant, defeated slaves of Satan, bonded to sin. We were created to live free victorious lives!

So, here you will find that the focus is on books that help you, as a man (or one of the men in your life if you are a woman) to face up to your problems and struggles and get through them… victoriously!

I sincerely hope that you find a book here that God can use to improve your life.

  • Author credibility - Is the author someone we have grown to know and trust?

  • Practicality - Is the book filled with practical advice and suggestions for implementing its teachings?

  • Timelessness - Will this book still be worth reading fifty years from now (or was it fifty years ago), or is it an excellent contribution highly applicable to the present?

  • Conclusiveness - Is the message summarized at the end of the book in a neat conclusion?

  • Essentiality - How essential is it for Christians to read this book?

  • Finish-ability - How easy is it to get through the whole book?

  • Physical quality - Is the book of high quality physically and well-published?

  • X-factor - Is there something about this book that gets the blood flowing? Something different in look or feel that keeps one interested?
