The Audio Book and its TopicSoulTsunami by Leonard Sweet is an abridged version of the (quite thick!) book. It is an excellent example of a good audio book. It is short. In just over 2 hours Leonard Sweet delivers the prophetic message of postmodernism and its challenges for the church. It is good. What a message! We all need to hear this. The church really has to sink or swim, but in order to be able to take that decision, we firstly need to be informed. I am keen on swimming... And that has nothing to do with the sweltering South African heat I am experiencing at the moment! It is artful. Len’s voice is coupled with very relevant and excellently incorporated background sounds and music. The message and the way is discussed is no less colorful… What more do you want from an audio book? SoulTsunami is the highest ranking audio book on this website currently (October 2007). Why? Let me try to explain... Leonard Sweet. Yip, that’s it. This guy is a prophet. He is able to look at the world, see where it’s at, look back at the church, see where it’s at, and then comes the advice. Len gives the church ten life rings. Ten chances to get afloat… These will help us stay above water, and get us to swim in the postmodern tsunami that has hit this world. Len gives you a vision for the Gospel, a radical one that applies to this day and age. He will ignite your creative powers, encourage you, and activate you to start living his message in a very practical sense. Be inspired… We are facing the giant waves of a SoulTsunami, and we have three choices: Ignore and drown, fight and lose, or recognize the opportunities we are presented with, and swim. Let’s realize what is going on around us, get ready, get ahead, and be the church of Jesus in this new culture. It is such an exciting time to be a disciple of Christ! So, how does it sound?Excellent! I already mentioned this, but this is an animated audio book. The background sounds are not quite as lively and persistent as the Inspired by... The Bible Experience, but it gets closer than most (boring...) audio books. What I found really refreshing was the conviction in the author-become-narrator’s voice. Normally they get some guy who thinks he sounds good, and then he reads the book like a 12 year old boy in the creative reading class. It sounds fake. Not here sir. Len himself is the voice in the audio version of his SoulTsunami book. He speaks with conviction, and a certain calmness that is soft on the ears. In future this observation is something that will help me choose audio books. I would much rather buy those audio books by authors who are also the narrators. What did this audio book mean to me personally?I am trying to be part of the church in a postmodern world. Even this website is part of my attempt. Sometimes I feel lost, and I do not understand the complex dynamics of the world I live in. I also do not know how to react to the many experiences I am subjected to... Sometimes I need someone high up on the ship’s mast just to warn me about what is ahead, or calm my nerves by assuring me I am on course. That is what Dr. Sweet does for me here. As I stated already, Len is a prophet, and we all will do well to heed his advice. We must become the EPIC experience that the world needs… What do others say about the audio book?

– Bill Easum, President, 21st Century Strategies, Inc. ConclusionDo you have two hours to spare? If you do, do yourself a favor. SoulTsunami (as an experience and a message) is worth far more than two hours of your time. It might just rejuvenate your personal journey, your church, or your ministry. The biggest lesson I learned from the SoulTsunami audio book… When Leonard Sweet speaks, listen! I aim to review more of his audio books (and normal books) if my Father allows me… Listen!
